FILM SYNOPSIS
A vibrant musical journey wonders how the Chilean song "El pueblo unido" (The People United Will Never be Defeated) written in 1973, became an anthem of people's struggles around the world. Interweaving rare archival materials, testimonies, music, sound recordings and experimental excerpts, the film acknowledges the power of songs and the search for social transformations by diverse movements. Based on in-depth research and testimonies by musicians from Chile, Portugal, France, Germany, Finland and Japan, it delves into the different uses and meanings this anthem has achieved worldwide.
