A Wildlife Adventure
Multiple dates and times
Albury Vineyard, GU5 9BW
Description
Calling all nature explorers... visit the wildlife trail at Albury Vineyard this Summer.
Families are invited to join us for a self-guided wildlife walk through the vines featuring bat and barn owl boxes, bug hotels, bee hives, butterfly scrapes, an insect highway, wildflower meadows to attract pollinators, compost pits, a pond, and a huge bench shaped as a cow horn.
We encourage you to enjoy the outdoors, learn about nature, and report back to us what you find. You can share photos of your wildlife discoveries using #alburywildlife on social media - don't forget to tag us @alburyvineyard! There will even be a prize for the best photo, and we'll have some Surrey Wildlife activity sheets to enjoy too.
Plus... this is a great opportunity to take part in the Big Butterfly Count 2024! The vineyard is home to lots of butterfly species including the rare Small Blue which we've created a dedicated habitat for.
Entry to the wildlife walk is free although we kindly ask for a suggested donation of £10/group to the Surrey Wildlife Trust who helped us create this experience. We recommend booking in advance so we know how many explorers to expect.
