Tapis Théâtre - A Theatrical Soirée - celebrating new stories and fresh talent.

Alchemy Theatre invites you to Tapis Théâtre, an evening of original 15-minute acts - a preview of works that may one day grow into full-scale productions.

What began as a cozy scratch night in a Marais apartment, Tapis Théâtre has blossomed into a vibrant showcase of new voices and stories. This 14th edition marks the first time the programme is multilingual, featuring performances in English, French and a melange of other languages. Through comedy, drama, clown, drag, mask and story-telling, this season features relevant and poignant pieces that address themes such as belonging, the current geo-political conflicts, motherhood, femicide, migration and identity.

What is Tapis Théâtre?
Founded in 2016 by Charlotte Pleasants and originally run from her Paris apartment, Tapis Théâtre was created to platform local artists and build community.

Its stage began as a simple rug, tapis, reflecting the show’s ethos: a casual space for artists to experiment and try out new work. Over the years, it has grown into a vibrant showcase of new voices, featuring over fifty artists. Many pieces have become fully realised productions, making Tapis Théâtre a vital platform for artists in Paris to develop and grow their work.

This event will mark Tapis Théâtre’s 14th edition and 10th year.
