The Centre for Heterodox Social Science is delighted to host the Heterodox Social Science Conference 2026 at the University of Buckingham from 23–25 July 2026.

The conference will bring together academics, researchers, writers and public intellectuals for three days of discussion on post-progressivism, critical woke studies, academic freedom, higher education reform, institutional change and the future of social science.

Confirmed speakers so far include Professor Eric Kaufmann, Musa al-Gharbi, W. Bradford Wilcox, Razib Khan, Helen Pluckrose, Helen Joyce, Nigel Biggar, Frances Widdowson, Elizabeth Weiss, David Goodhart, Harrison Pitt, Richard McNally, Pamela Paresky, Lee Jussim, Jukka Savolainen, Kevin McCaffree, Bob Maranto and Francesca Minerva, with further names to be announced.

Sessions will include keynote talks, panel discussions and parallel academic tracks covering themes including the end of woke, critical woke studies, higher education policy, feminism and gender, psychotherapy and psychology, populism and the nation, settler colonialism, and the future of heterodox social science through the Buckingham Manifesto.
