Summer Flowers in Collage Workshop - Sunday 19 July, 10-4 (£70)

Try your hand at crafty collage artwork to celebrate summer flowers. In this fun workshop, you will learn to paint meadow flowers during the morning session and then turn your paintings into an exciting artwork during the afternoon using coloured tissue papers, pressed flower materials, and perhaps even some copper leaf! This workshop is entirely beginner friendly (yes, even TOTAL beginners!) and intended to spark your creativity through a love of beautiful meadow flowers.

10:00–12:30: Morning session - Painting summer meadow flowers in Derwent Inktense pencils. Learn to paint a selection of flowers in Derwent Inktense on thick 320 gsm Khadi paper. Learn ways to simplify flowers into an interesting design while maintaining their essence.

12:30–1:30: Lunch break, or feel free to carry on working. Bring a packed lunch!

1:30–4:00: Afternoon session - Tissue papers and pop-up paintings! Either fill in around your painting with tissue paper or create a tissue paper background and put your flowers over the top to make them pop! Embellish your artwork with pressed flowers, further painting, and/or copper leaf.
