Autumn Leaves in Collage Workshop - Wednesday 27 October 2027, 10-4 (£70)

Learn to create autumnal artwork using Derwent Inktense, tissue papers, and pressed autumn leaves. We will use paint, tissue paper and real pressed autumn leaves to make something truly individual, unique and special. Based on mixed-media collage pages from my nature journals, this crafty, arty day is beginner friendly with all materials included – but bring some of your own pressed autumn leaves to use if you like. 

10:00 – 12:30: Mixed media autumn landscapes with Derwent Inktense pencils and tissue papers. You will paint a woodland scene in Derwent Inktense and then lay tissue paper over the top to create a misty effect. You will have the opportunity to create several of these.

12:30 – 1:30: Lunch break, or feel free to carry on working. Bring a packed lunch.

1:30 – 4:00: Autumn leaves collage. Use a combination of painting, paper collage and pressed autumn leaves to create autumnal artwork over your background scenes.

Autumn leaves – how to press. If you’d like to bring your own, gather the leaves when they are in their best autumn colours on a dry day. Pick leaves from the trees or freshly fallen leaves and avoid any that have curled or browned. Place them between two sheets of blotting paper, newspaper, or kitchen towel between the pages of a heavy book and allow them to press for at least a week.
