I first came to Lisbon over thirty years ago and fell in love with the city. I use my background in cultural history to share not just the routine monuments and predictable sites, but the moving anecdotes, fun details and quirky surprises that make history personal - and I mix that with social events that will make your time in Lisbon memorable. 

I also publish 'Alex's LONG LIST - guide to LGBTQ Lisbon & Portugal' for visitors and residents, and offer 'Alex's Queer Lisbon' treasure hunt which reveals the hidden stories of Lisbon's LGBTQ history from the 16th Century onwards (appropriate and welcoming people of all sexualities or genders; aged 16+).
