Tu Solo Tu Workshops, Cafe and Mercadito - ALL AGES and FREE!  

This year, we are shifting to tending to our wellness and creativity. In one room, we will be hosting a series of workshops (tickets required). In the other, we will have a cafe and mercado where you can purchase food and arte from local vendors 

Cafe and Mercadito Description - ALL DAY 

We will have a cafe where you can order non-alcoholic beverages and food! In addition, we will have a mercadito (market) featuring the work of artists and we will be selling Alimentando al Pueblo merchandise. Open seating will be available for participants to lounge in throughout the day!

WORKSHOP INFORMATION  - TICKET RSVP REQUIRED

10:30 am to 12:30 pm En Nuestras Manos: Storytelling through Ink with Eileen Jimenez - 

Our hands’ gift to us is the ability to create art to honor our stories, thoughts, reflections, memories and intentions. IndigiQueer artist Eileen Jimenez (Ñätho) will lead this workshop, where participants will learn to carve a linoleum block with stories, words or images. Participants will take home the block they carve and prints.

We will also explore printmaking from pre-carved blocks, and watercolor to co-create art. During our time together we will also connect with each other, and reflect on what it means to coalition build and center our work in community and through art. Participants will take home their prints and greeting cards!

1:30 to 3:00 pm Paint and Tea Workshop with Mousy DeVilla:

In this fun paint and sip workshop, participants will have the opportunity to recreate a beautiful painting with step-by-step guidance from instructor Mousy DeVilla. Participants will follow along, learning basic acrylic painting and add their own personal touch towards the end

4:00 to 5:00 pm Soundbath with Yesenia Huesca

Experience the vibration and frequencies of a sound bath through a variety of instruments. An opportunity to relax, return to joy, and recalibrate in community.

Talleres Tu Solo Tu, Café y Mercadito (TODAS LAS EDADES)

Este año, estamos enfocándonos en nutrir nuestro bienestar y creatividad. En un salón, estaremos ofreciendo una serie de talleres. En el otro, tendremos un cafe y mercadito donde podrás comprar comida y arte de artesanos locales

Descripción de Cafetería y Mercadito - TODO EL DÍA

Tendremos un café donde podrás ordenar bebidas sin alcohol y comida. Además, contaremos con un mercadito que presentará el trabajo de artistas locales y estaremos vendiendo mercancía de Alimentando al Pueblo. Habrá asientos disponibles para los participantes puedan relajarse y convivir durante todo el día.

INFORMACIÓN DE LOS TALLERES – REQUIERE REGISTRO

10:30 am a 12:30 pm – En Nuestras Manos: Narración a través de la tinta con Eileen Jimenez

El regalo de nuestras manos es la capacidad de crear arte para honrar nuestras historias, pensamientos, reflexiones, memorias e intenciones. La artista IndigiQueer Eileen Jimenez (Ñätho) guiará este taller, donde los participantes aprenderán a tallar un bloque de linóleo con historias, palabras o imágenes. Cada persona se llevará a casa el bloque que talle y sus impresiones.

También exploraremos la técnica de grabado con bloques previamente tallados y acuarela para co-crear arte. Durante nuestro tiempo juntas y juntos, conectaremos entre sí y reflexionaremos sobre lo que significa construir en coalición y centrar nuestro trabajo en la comunidad a través del arte. ¡Los participantes se llevarán sus impresiones y tarjetas de felicitación!

1:30 pm a 3:00 pm – Taller de Pintura y Té con Mousy DeVilla

En este divertido taller de pintura y “sip”, los participantes tendrán la oportunidad de recrear una hermosa pintura con guía paso a paso de la instructora Mousy DeVilla. Seguirán las instrucciones mientras aprenden técnicas básicas de pintura acrílica y al final podrán agregar su toque personal a la obra.

4:00 pm a 5:00 pm – Baño de Sonido con Yesenia Huesca

Vive la vibración y las frecuencias de un baño de sonido a través de una variedad de instrumentos. Una oportunidad para relajarte, regresar a la alegría y recalibrarte en comunidad
