Marketing as a small business?
If you’re modeling after the big brands and not seeing results, you may be doing it wrong.
And if you’re a woman, your best avenues might not be what you think.
On June 24, 2026, local community organizer Amanda Mailey will be hosting a workshop she specifically designed for women founders. She’s a former big brand advertising executive of 15 years who opened her own consultancy ALIST LLC in 2016 to do it differently and as a woman of color small business owner.
Over the last decade, Amanda has worked with hundreds of brands, across nearly every industry, and at different stages of business. She also founded the WSW or Women Supporting Women Community of over 500 women entrepreneurs in the Portland metro area. Her work has been recognized by many press outlets including: The Oregonian, Willamette Weekly, Portland Monthly, Portland Mercury and the Portland Business Journal. Come listen in as she shares lessons about navigating marketing strategies as a small business in a big brand world and get a chance to win a $100 microgrant.
