Dr. Liz Anderson-Peacock BSc., D.C., DICCP
Behind the Art of Chiropractic: moving ourselves and our clients from "dysregulation to regulation” with the focus on children and adolescents.
- Are you noticing more stress, burnout, outbursts and anxiety in yourself and clients?
- Have you felt drained by the end of your day or frustrated with clients or staff?
- How can we best manage the emotionality of clients while staying within our professional boundaries?
Consider applying evidence informed somatic strategies to address and promote self-regulation and well-being. The intent is to create an open system that is more resourceful and available to receive and communicate information – verbally or through touch thus effectively supporting both the needs of the patient and the health of the practitioner.
At the end of 2017 after a right below knee amputation Dr. Liz applied different approaches to find a new base of support and was unimaginably surprised to be able to see clients 18 days later, participating in a 5K within 3 months, paddle boarding by 6 months and scuba diving by 11 months. She’s shared these experiences of how her choices dramatically and positively impacted her outcome beyond her expectations and continues to share her insights with the intention to inspire a reflective, proactive and heart centered life in how we listen to, care for, and empower ourselves and others.
Beyond this experience, Dr. Liz is happily married and a grandmother of 5 kiddos. An author and coach, she continues to see patients, teach, write, and volunteers in many capacities both in and outside the profession.
A seasoned practitioner of over 38 years, Liz brings a wealth of lifetime experience with her that can be applicable to anyone. Dr. Liz's practice focus is on complex pediatric and pregnancy cases.
She was the first Canadian with a Diplomate in Chiropractic Pediatrics from the ICA in 1996. She has also taught three different modules for the ICPA and was involved in the development of their Diplomate program as well as an examiner.
Liz was made a Fellow of the ICA in 1998, received Canadian Chiropractor of the year in 1998, received the Ontario Chiropractic Association’s ”Heart and Hand award” 2005, World Congress of Women Chiropractors “Woman of the Year’ in 2009, Life University International Chiropractor of the Year Award, and Alliance for Chiropractic Lifetime Commitment Award in 2023.
Published in peer reviewed journals, along with involvement in associations and regulatory boards since the 1990's she brings over 38 years of practice experience to her programs.
Described as insightful and a curious soul, she has an indomitable spirit and love of life. Goals for her programs are to leave you with tools to engage in life while being more confident, heart centered and successful.
