About All Stories

All Stories is a free mentorship and outreach programme that supports children’s book writers from underrepresented groups (people of colour, disabled, neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, working class and socio-economically marginalised). It was founded in 2021, when editor and author Catherine Coe decided she had to do something to tackle the lack of diversity in children’s books.

All Stories 2024 is the third programme, growing year on year thanks to our generous funders and support from the book community. It includes a comprehensive six-month mentorship scheme, UK-wide in-person writing workshops and writing groups, online writing workshops and writing groups, and an industry event for previous mentees to build connections with agents and editors.
