Spring is in full swing - Layali Belly Dance Company and Allure Dance are celebrating World Belly Dance Day with special guest Ashorina from Safire Belly Dancers of Chicago! Enjoy a full day of workshops, shopping, and a Gala Show featuring Ashorina, the Shimmy Mob dancers, Layali Belly Dance Company and more.

Vendors will be on site selling various items including hip scarves, t-shirts and other goodies.

Meet Ashorina! 

Ashorina, co-founder of Safire Belly Dancers, captivates audiences with her authentic and elegant portrayal of Middle Eastern dance. Proudly of 100% Middle Eastern descent, she has performed across the globe - from France and Germany to Argentina and Ukraine - blending traditional and contemporary styles in every mesmerizing show. A lifelong student of movement, Ashorina trains weekly in ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance, adding depth and versatility to her artistry. She has studied under world-renowned instructors, including Randa Kamel, Fifi Abdou, Azad Kaan, and Jessica Wolfum. As both performer and passionate educator, Ashorina brings joy, authenticity, and inspiration to the stage and classroom alike, inviting all to experience the magic of Middle Eastern dance.

10:30 - 11:00 SharQui Belly Dance Fitness with Nicci

11:00 - 11:45 Intro to Belly Dance Workshop with Ashley Donaldson

12:00-2:00: Workshop 1 - Sizzling Saidi! Raqs Assaya technique and choreography with Ashorina! Be sure to bring your cane!

2:30-4:30: Workshop 2 - Turbo Tabla Get ready for a high octane Drum Solo technique and choreography class! If you have your own Tabla drum, bring it to class! *Personal tabla not required for a good time 😉
