LegalAliens' founder Lara Parmiani presents a kaleidoscopic solo inspired by her journey from a grey, industrial, Italian suburb to 1997 London, taking audiences through time, language, gender cliches and anti-migrant narratives - from Cool to Cruel Britannia.

Through storytelling, physical theatre, and visual elements, Shapeshifting explores what happens when one is forced to negotiate two cultures, while not identifying with either. Which parts of a migrant’s identity are lost together with their native language? Entertaining, tender, and at times brimming with anger, Shapeshifting tells a story of resilience and women’s empowerment through a fragmented narrative interrupted by comedy, music, and a "WRONG WORD" alarm
