Dormouse by Eleanor Jones
Tue 20 Aug 2024 8:00 PM - Wed 21 Aug 2024 BST
Alma Tavern and Theatre, BS82HY
Description
“Though Summer breathes sweet,
The poison born from beauty,
Blinds and suffocates.”
There are two things you must know:
1) There is always a duo in a trio.
2) The problem with dinner parties is sometimes, just sometimes, everything goes exactly according to plan
There is a Writer. There is a Pianist. And there is Noah. Set in a single room over the course of a single hour, Dormouse is the Lighthouse Ensemble's second show. It is a strange yet satisfying mix of Phoebe Waller Bridge's Fleabag and Channel 4's Friday Night Dinner, a tea party in wonderland that just about remains tethered to tangible reality.
So come along! Grab a glass of red [wine], and follow us down a rabbit hole of love, lies and a surprising amount of teeth.
Who are we?
Created by Eleanor Jones and Iola Budden, The Lighthouse Ensemble is a theatre company focused on bringing together young people through their love of theatre. In a world where the arts are becoming more disregarded, it is important for a new generation of self sustaining creators to put their work on the stage. We are doing our best to make that happen and give young people like us the chance to show their work.
All tickets include a £1 admin charge
Approx running time 1 hour
