The Company
Amy Gibbons is an award-winning comedian, actor, writer and director who tours and works internationally.
She graduated at École Philippe Gaulier (2014) and co-founded Gibbons & Gaulier Theatre Company with whom she won an award for new writing ((LIICAA Fest 2016). She is a director of Slate Barn Arts community arts centre, where she began ‘Flip The Flop’ workshops which went on to featureat the London Iranian Theatre Festival 2016.
Claudio Del Toro a trilingual actor & teacher graduating with an MA in Theatre (DAMS, Italy) and at École Philippe Gaulier. Previously artistic director of theatre company La Barca dei Soli, partnered with the regional theatrical circuit Fondazione LIVE- Piemonte dal Vivo.
In 2013, he was selected for the LGBT theatre festival of Turin with an original play.
He worked for ILO - The United Nations, in the ‘Scream in Action’ project.
He has taught for 15 years at the Tec de Monterrey University in Mexico as well as working with Teatro e Società Company, who take theatre into jails, schools, castles & museums.
Director Marie Hamilton is an actor writer, who trained with Philippe Gaulier in Paris, and obtained an MA at ArtsEd in London. She has toured internationally, developing work at Menų Spaustuvė in Lithuania and for Open Air Festival in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic.
Director Samuel Gaulier is co-founder of Gibbons & Gaulier theatre company, trained at Ecole Philippe Gaulier, and has worked as Assistant Director to Cal McCrystal and to SAAM Persian Theatre Company. He has extensive experience in clown, including as La Puta Calle’s sole resident clown in Paris. Samuel has also taught theatre at Slate Barn Arts in Suffolk, UK.
