2000’s reality TV graced our screens with extremities; Wife Swap, World’s Strictest Parents, Supersize vs Super skinny. If these outrageous concepts made it on screen, what was tossed around that didn’t? 

Set in 2012, in a run-down East London Production House (Silky Productions). Producers Terry, Carl and Michael are comfortably set in their schoolboy ways, ‘brainmixing’, arguing with their wives on the phone and playing darts all day. Dining out on the glory of their decade old one hit wonder, they can't stop themselves from punching down to scrape the barrel for their next hit. All is disrupted by the arrival of switched-on, fresh- faced producers Mary and Warren and the pressure for a new treatment idea that won't get in any ‘trouble’. 

Bristol University’s Spotlights Society present to you the brand-new play ‘Boardroom’, shedding light on the absurd voyeurism and exploitation that was 2000’s telly. Catch the show before it heads to the Edinburgh Fringe this August!
