Tosh. Lou. Fran. 22 scenes. Other friends have come, got boyfriends, and gone. So what? These girls have each other. Between them, there is love. And that’s enough. That is enough. 

First staged at The Royal Court in 2020, the play follows Lou as she revels in her newfound freedom whilst Tosh grapples with jealousy and unspoken feelings. The arrival of their old friend Fran, loved up and seemingly content with conventional romance, complicates their dynamic. Battye’s play delves into the complexities of female sexual empowerment, the pressure to perform happiness, and the fear of being left behind in a rapidly changing world.

About the Company:

Eightball Productions is an emerging theatre company making plays about gender politics, the internet and the radical every day. Established in Bristol in 2023, Eightball’s previous work has achieved sold out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, has been selected for the National Student Drama Festival and most recently, they have been developing their newest play with Bristol Old Vic.
