A non-linear look at the man, it steps inside his private thoughts — the moments that surface when the spotlight fades and the applause has long since stopped.

Moving between Hollywood and Pontrhydyfen, Unmasking Burton holds the global icon up against the memory of the village that shaped him. Exploring the tension between the public figure and the private man, questioning what it means to be celebrated everywhere while longing for something that
feels like home.

Utilising stripped back staging focussing on presence and honesty, Unmasking Burton is a reckoning — a man confronting himself without the shield of reputation.

X2 Productions is a recently founded Production Company founded by two Acting Graduates from Bath Spa University.
