What is Going On? By Sameera Bowers

Sameera’s mum was proud when she graduated with a degree in Economics from Cambridge. Less so when she went to clown school. Now Sameera needs to find a job.

In this multimedia comedy hour, Sameera searches for clarity through psychic guidance, grapples with the science of perfectly spherical cows, plots her rise as the leader of an Indian tutoring empire and wants to make her grandma proud. If all else fails, she plans to become the first 22-year-old living in an old-age nursing home. Following a sell-out London run and glowing reviews, she brings the show to Bristol.

Sameera was a member of The Cambridge Footlights (2025) and this year trained at the École Phillipe Gaulier clown school in France. She is currently a finalist in the West End New Act of The Year comedy competition.

Plus opening musical act “The Hot Water Bottles”, imaginary band led by Sameera’s dad.
