So hopes Charles Reginald Ispe, an ineffectual council officer in 1950s post-war London. Like his heroes, The Clapham Killer and The Madman of Mayfair, he seeks to join the pantheon of infamous murderers within their rigid regional borders. He’s got it all planned out: he’s lured his victim to his flat, away from the prying eyes of witnesses (save for his budgie), and is ready to strike. However, all is not as it seems...

First debuting as part of 2025’s The Enturtling, a Scratch Night of short pieces in development, Boogie Nachts Theatre have reworked this into a full length play and bring the truly horrific tale of Mr Crispie to light in all its fiendishly farcical glory.
