Drive: A Mixed Colours Extravaganza by Joe Flynn
8pm Friday & Saturday
Drive: A Mixed Colours Extravaganza is a contemporary coming-of-age play blending live music, spoken word, and original tracks to explore friendship, grief, ambition, identity, and modern masculinity. Following a sold-out West End run at Seven Dials Playhouse, the production follows four college friends from an East London estate as they pursue music while navigating the pressures shaping their futures.
Set between bedrooms, bus rides, studio sessions, and late-night city streets, Drive captures the energy, humour, and emotional uncertainty of young adulthood through lyrical storytelling and fast-moving scenes. As the boys challenge inherited ideas of strength and success, they are forced to confront the emotional cost of chasing their dreams and the realities of growing apart.
Honest, energetic, and hopeful, the play offers an authentic reflection of contemporary British youth culture while amplifying working-class voices rarely centred on stage.
Seven Seats Productions is a multidisciplinary creative company focused on developing bold new theatre and emerging working-class talent.
