Dear Inner Child by Katie Crosson
6.30pm Monday - Back by popular demand!
After completely selling out their debut double bill last month, one of the smash hit absurd comedies from Identifiable Natural Person returns for a strictly limited single performance.
This emerging theatre company is borne out of Bristol Old Vic's Young Company Programme.
Dear Inner Child by Katie Crosson
Deep reflections on the themes of vicariously experienced trauma, the monetisation of therapy, womanhood and alienation, and the greatest existential question of all: should we really be wearing Birkenstocks?
When 35-year-old Jess runs out of money to pay her deeply uncertified Zoom therapist, she is left with only one piece of parting wisdom: if she wants to recover, she must find and heal her inner child. But as Jess reluctantly accepts this challenge, she realises summoning the right version of herself might be harder than anticipated…
(Content Warning: this play features discussions of trauma and mental illness.)
