“In this highly original script we have an anarchic pantomime in the worst possible taste!” - Geoffrey Whitworth Judge, 2020

The “true” story of what happened at the end of World War II

After losing to the allied forces, Hitler and his Cronies manage to escape Germany and go into hiding in the last place anyone would think to look… YORKSHIRE!

Donning flat caps & wellington boots, covering themselves in tweed, and adopting thick Northern accents, Adolf and the Lads meet down the pub and attempt to plan their “epic” comeback over pints of lukewarm beer.

‘Ay Up, Hitler!’ is a hilarious and unique political satire, that presents one of history’s most infamous dictators in a bizarre new light, whilst also holding a mirror up to our current political climate.

Could Hitler thrive in our modern world? Only one way to find out…Send in the clowns!

“The most hilarious and offensive play you will see” - J Goebbels, the Bavarian Gazette

All purchases for show at the Alma now have a suggested donation to the theatre and in-house company of £2.00

You can remove this donation by changing the amount to £0.00, but please do consider offering your generosity to help us continue to offer great theatre at affordable prices.

The Alma Theatre has been serving the community for 25 years and has never been the recipient of ACE or other funding. Our theatre manager started maternity leave as the pandemic hit and as a result we missed all opportunities for additional arts council support. We have been offering reduced rates, preferential box office splits and extended promo support to aid the recovery from the past year and a half. Your help will enable us to continue bringing fantastic stories to your local theatre. 50% of your donation will go to the Alma Theatre, and 50% to our in-house company, Schoolhouse Productions.
