After his beloved pier closes in 2009, Alun has been collecting memorabilia of the place he once loved. Through music, poetry, postcards and seashells, Alun takes us through a collage of fifty years on the pier. Sonder, Upon Sea and Shore is about memory, nostalgia, and finding hope within the perseverance of community.
Helter Skelters, Fortune tellers, Donkey rides, Deckchairs and swims in the sea.... Sonder, Upon Sea and Shore takes us through fifty years of life on Llandudno Pier. Emotional, heart-warming, and at times completely absurd, Sonder is an uplifting play written out of love for all the quirks, complexities and craziness of human life. But most of all, it celebrates finding hope within the perseverance of community.
