Second Chancers is a heart-felt, character comedy spoof of a trashy reality dating show for over 35s. The show focuses on Stella, a sales rep for Flippin’ Fantastic Flapjacks who loves a good brew, and the mad mix of people she meets who are also looking for love but being exploited by this failing production.

Second Chancers deals with the mine-field of dating in the modern world. It touches on gender inequalities, toxic masculinity, social media use and serial killers...all to a backdrop of classic 90s bangers. This show is guaranteed to give you feel-good vibes!

About the company:

Lucy and Maria met doing supporting artist work in film and TV and spent many hours creating comedy characters. They embarked on an acting course at Bristol Acting Academy and graduated in 2022 with big dreams and buckets of enthusiasm.

The Alma Theatre has been serving the community for 25 years and has never been the recipient of ACE or other funding and were unable to secure the Covid Arts Recovery Fund. We have been offering reduced rates, preferential box office splits and extended promo support to aid the recovery from the past year and a half.
