Alma Tavern and Theatre, BS82HY
Description
8pm Thursday - ONE NIGHT ONLY!
The UK comedy circuit’s only Orthodox Jewish comedian is back with a brand new improvised and interactive stand-up comedy show!
Whether it’s a relationship problem, how to word a sensitive work email or the best way to cook a brisket, this Jewish mother has all the answers you need. Want to know anything about anything? Just ask your Jewish mother already… she’s here for you.
Rachel Creeger is a multi-award-winning stand-up comedian, writer, director and broadcaster, and the only orthodox Jew on the UK comedy circuit. As seen on BBC1, NextUp Comedy and Amazon Prime Video, and heard on BBC Radio London, BBC R4, BBC R2 and BBC R5Live, she co-hosts both internationally renowned chat show podcast "Jew Talkin' To Me?", and Neighbours super-fan podcast “Leaving Erinsborough”. Her sell-out fringe debut hour It's No Job For A Nice Jewish Girl won the Best Comedy Award at the Greater Manchester Fringe in 2017 and toured internationally to critical acclaim. Her second solo hour Hinayni! (Underbelly) received rave reviews (but the pandemic stopped it from touring!) Her 2022 show Pray It Forward was award nominated, again for Best Comedy at the Greater Manchester Fringe, and performed to packed rooms in Edinburgh. Rachel is resident MC at London club “Comedy Upstairs at the Adam & Eve”.
