Altidore Castle National Heritage Week House Tours 2026

In association with Historic Houses of Ireland Altidore Castle is opening its doors for house tours this Heritage Week.

Altidore has been in the Emmet family since 1944 but the house dates back to the early eighteenth century. The current owners are direct descendants of United Irishmen founder Thomas Addis Emmet and rebel leader brother Robert Emmet. The guided house tour comprises several rooms filled with artefacts from both sides of the family.

Tours are available at two and four o clock every day during Heritage Week. Tickets are ten euros for adults and eight euros for children over ten and concessions. Not suitable for children under ten.
