Earth Heart: Welcoming Spring in the Outdoor Spaces

Gather with us to reflect on reconnecting with nature and our eco-self. Join us for one or two sessions. Participants will be invited to engage creatively and sustainably within the natural environment. Our intention is to offer exploration with the healing potential of nature together. No prior art experience necessary and no art materials required. For adults 18+.

$10 per session. 

Location: Cottonwood Lake Regional Park
Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the park.

This student-led art therapy group is part of a practicum placement. All sessions are conducted under the supervision of a registered art therapist in alignment with KATI's ethical and educational guidelines.

Facilitators

Anne is a second year art therapy student at KATI. She grew up in the rainforest of Northwest BC coast. She has a mixed background in education and community service. She is a photographer, musician and dabbles in many forms of creativity such as watercolour, weaving and nature art. Anne has a heart for holistic healing, growth, and flourishing for both individuals and our collective community. 

Dani (she/her) is a second year art therapy student at KATI with roots in Ontario on Treaty 72 territory. Her heart is happiest when she's outside with her hands in the soil, weaving with wool and connecting with nature. She brings her background in geology, ecology, forest school and ceramics to her creative practice. 

Michelle is a New Zealander who has a passion for creativity and nature. She has spent a rewarding 15 years in Vietnam and has extensive experience in teaching and art education. She is now a 2nd year student with the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute. Michelle is grateful to embark on a new journey to delve into the healing potential of art and nature. She enjoys incorporating mindful practices and welcomes a sense of curiosity and play for personal self-expression.
