Faith in Football 2026
Welcome to Faith in Football conference 2026. For the fourth time those who love God and love football will gather in Nottingham to be encouraged and inspired in their football ministry journeys. Many organisations will be represented in 2026 including: Christians in Sport; Sports Friends; Sporting 87; Kick; Scripture Union; and Sports Chaplaincy UK. The venue this year is Trent Vineyard Church Nottingham on Saturday 13th June 2026.

There will be a range of workshops and plenary sessions but the main aim is to gather people together to celebrate our faith and how we express it through football. This year we coincide with the biggest World Cup ever and the theme is United - celebrating the way in which football, with a core element of faith, can Unite Nations and bring people together. We will have guest speakers from across the globe and keynote messages from Warren Evans of Sports Chaplaincy UK and Rachel Gardner of Youthscape.

Warren Evans is the CEO of Sports Chaplaincy UK & Ireland and Chair of the Global Sports Chaplaincy Association. Having served for many years as a sports chaplain and chair of a professional sports foundation, he is passionate about the extraordinary missional opportunity within the community of sport. Warren is committed to equipping chaplains, churches and ministries to serve athletes, coaches and clubs with care, integrity and compassion, driven by a God-given dream “to see an expression of God’s love and compassion in every community called sport.” Through this work, he seeks to help sport become a place where people are supported, valued and able to encounter faith in the midst of everyday life.

Rachel Gardner brings over two decades of experience in youth ministry, with a deep commitment to the spiritual and personal development of young people. She is the author of The Girl De-Construction Project and The Sex Thing, and co-hosts the Talking Youth Ministry podcast. In her current roles as Ambassador for Home for Good and Director of Partnerships at Youthscape, Rachel plays a pivotal role in shaping national conversations around youth culture and christian faith. She also serves as Youth Innovation Lead at St Luke’s, a church with a strong youth focus located in a deprive area of Blackburn, where young people are at the heart of the mission pf the church. She supports Blackburn Rovers.

"I am excited to see this event taking place for the 4th time. It is always such an encouragement to hear from specialists in the football ministry field and see new and existing partners attend."
