Qigong Workshop
Learn simple, easy, effective grounding and centering practices that improve balance, flexibility, slowly increase strength, release stress and calm the mind. Qigong is a very ancient system of exercises designed to balance and regulate the body's energy or "Qi", clearing blockages and creating an even flow throughout.
Participants will learn a simple routine that is easy to remember and can be practiced every day as well as being introduced to a few other Qigong practices including "washing down", skin and bone marrow breathing, four gates breathing and an example of medical qigong. Basic Taoist concepts of health, harmony and balance and how they are expressed in the exercises we are doing will be explained.
Exercises are done in a standing position. Wear comfortable clothing suitable for stretching. Open to anyone ages 10 and up.
