Key Aspects of the Teacher Training – What You Will Learn

• Teaching principles – Create the right conditions for learning the Focusing way
• Teaching content – Develop the Basic Focusing Skills Course and courses on other topics
• How can you follow participants’ interests and needs without getting lost?
• How do you respond to students’ questions – quick answers or deeper engagement with the question?

The Focusing Trainer Certificate

As a Certified Focusing Trainer, you are qualified to introduce and guide people who are new to Focusing in one-to-one sessions and to teach Focusing in group settings.
You will be eligible to offer your students the Proficiency in Focusing Partnership Award from the International Focusing Institute (TIFI).
This certificate opens the door for them to join the worldwide Focusing Partnership network.

The Training Consists of

• Online classes with instructional material
• Supervised practice
• Self-chosen topics and projects

This combination of a structured curriculum and self-directed learning allows you to create a training path that fits both your learning style and your life situation.

Duration
The training meetings take place over the course of one year. Certification is competency based. I recommend completing the training within one to two years.

This training is for you if you are already qualified to offer one-on-one Focusing sessions.

Fee

• €1,940 if paid in full
• Or €510, four times per year

Additional costs

• Participation in a workshop with another teacher
• At least two mentoring sessions with a supporting mentor
• If applying for certification, an additional fee is charged by TIFI
