Let us guide you to the best tulip fields near Amsterdam. We vary our itinerary as the season progresses: In the beginning we focus on the area around Lisse and Hillegom. This is where the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens are, though we do not go inside as it is so busy there. This area has the highest density of fields, and early in the season it has more early fields than anywhere else. 

As the season progresses we switch to an area north of Amsterdam known as the Beemster. It is very quiet and pretty, and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has great big fields of tulips and we have exclusive access to one tulip farm up there. This means we can spend as long as we like in their field, and the farmers trust us to bring well-behaved visitors, which then gives you more freedom to get great  photos in the fields.

On our tours we aim to stop at three different tulip fields. We almost always do so, but theoretically it is possible that there may be a day where we spend quite a bit of time in two fields and don't make the third. Unlikely but not impossible.

Access to any given field can vary. The farmers in Lisse and Hillegom tend to be more protective as the area is so busy. Still, we can generally find three fields where our guests can get access the field up until the start of the tulips. In the Beesmter, full access is easier and we have one farm where you can (carefully!) stand in the rows themselves.
