Incarnate Houseparty 2025: Simply Present
Simply Present: Staying attentive and available to Jesus, neighbour and self in a driven and distracting world.
The Incarnate Houseparty is a place for pioneers, church planters and those involved in missional community to meet and learn together through a mixture of input, conversation, creativity, prayer and reflection. Throughout the gathering we will be exploring the importance of listening and accompaniment in mission, discipleship and our own spiritual formation. The Greenhouse at Barnes Close offers a relaxing and friendly environment in a countryside setting, where we can take time to slow down and share life together.
Themes will include Missional Listening and Weaving Trust as two approaches to being present and listening in our communities, and through discussion and reflective activities we will be exploring ways we listen to ourselves and to God. We will be joined by; Simon Mattholie, CEO of Rural Ministries, who 'developed the concept of Missional Listening as an antidote to church planting'; Karen Stallard, an Integrative Arts Psychotherapist, ordained minister, tutor for The Institute of Arts in Therapy and Education and AMN trustee; and Sian Murray Williams, a Spiritual Director, AMN trustee and formally Co-ordinator of Ministerial Formation at Bristol Baptist College.
