About the Rope Jam

Welcome to our weekend day rope jam! Just like our Tuesday jams, this runs with an open format (meaning no introduction and no induction). Our most social and chilled out of all jams, this is an opportunity to practice, play, and wind down before the week ahead.

The studio has all the equipment you need for a good time, including rope, suspension points, communal kitchen, lounge, library and wifi.

If you are new to shibari or simply new to the studio, join us on a Thursday for our beginners evenings where we teach a taster class and induction session. You’ll need to pre-book tickets for these sessions using our ticket link.

About "Talking Rope"

This month's topic: Consent and risk profiles, hosted by Anna Noctuelle.

Rope bondage is a complex and multi-faceted activity that we feel deserves a safe space to acknowledge ambivalences, insecurities, anxieties, concerns and other feelings that come with the practice.

This is a format where we invite you to discuss a specific topic each month in relation to rope and our rope practice. Together as a diverse group of different individuals with different backgrounds, roles, strengths and levels of experience we aim for support, different perspectives, a fresh take on things and a sense of connection or maybe just a calm space to ponder, clarify or elaborate on things.

There will be a short introduction to the month‘s topic and someone sharing their experience before we then open the floor to discussion.

In order to keep this space safe, we ask you to respect the following rules:

• Only speak and refer to your experiences, feelings, impressions, don‘t talk about others, make assumptions or judge

• Do mind that the organizers are not trained mental health workers. If you feel that there is trauma around an issue please seek professional help
