✨ About the Showcase

Our Annual Shibari Showcase has been a much-loved tradition since 2015 — a space for local and homegrown performers to share their work, explore ideas, and take their first steps onto the rope stage.

Fred and Anna first performed at a “rope open mic night” in November 2013 — an experience that sparked the idea of paying it forward and creating opportunities for others to do the same. Ten years later, the Showcase continues to be a warm, supportive event for both new and emerging performers to share their creativity with the community.

Each year brings something new — heartfelt, funny, experimental, or beautifully strange — always united by a spirit of curiosity and connection. Many of our past performers have since become teachers, artists, and even studio founders themselves!

Whether you’re here to support friends or simply to enjoy an evening of inspired performances, come be part of this wonderful tradition. Let’s celebrate the amazing local talent that makes our rope community so special.

🌙 Want to perform?

We are looking for our 2026 performers! Application link here.

We welcome performances of all kinds and all levels. The goal is showcase and share our love for rope, whatever style, flavour, level of skill and dynamics between people!

Many of our past performers have gone on to to incredible things in rope - namely opening their own spaces, performing and teaching inside and outside the UK. We are very proud of all our past guests, our stage has history and legacy!

We have spots for 4 to 5 performances.

We prioritise applications from folks who have not performed before (at time of application). We also priotise applications from folks who are part of the Anatomie community, such as regulars and those who have attended our courses/events.

However we also consider (and invite) folks from outside the Anatomie community.

Expect a joyful, supportive, crowd. We encourage the audience to show love and support throughout.
