What does this workshop cover?
We will start with a quick discussion about varieties of body shapes as well as common health conditions that can affect tying and how to adjust rope scenes for them. This will not just cover tying but also communication and scene setting.
During the workshop we will explore adjusting suspension suitable harnesses to each bottom’s need, how third ropes can help tailor gotes to a bottom and managing uplines effectively.
The class has a certain amount of flexibility depending on the participant’s needs.
Who can come to this class? Are there pre-requisites?
Basic suspension knowledge and experience
-Riggers must know how to comfortably tie a structural two rope Takate Kote taught to you in a class, workshop or private tuition.
-Rope bottoms should be comfortable in a Takate Kote and familiar with the differences between nerve and circulation impingement.
Who teaches this class?
Alexielle (they/she) and Little-Boy-Blue (he/him) met as rope and life partners in 2014, are in a Ds dynamic and have been exploring the world of kink and rope together.
Through the years they went from more western style rope to transition heavy suspensions and are currently focused on traditional, Japanese style rope, especially Riccardo Wildties style. Alexielle’s love for sadism and suffering is reflected in their current rope style and sessions tend to be playful, interactive and heavily focused on the other person's reactions. However, they also tie with a variety of bottoms including people with (rope) anxiety, health conditions, disabilities and of varying sizes and can make suspensions as enjoyable and sustainable as possible. This leads Alexielle to dive into a variety of styles to accommodate each rope bottom’s needs.
Little-Boy-Blue also switches and is currently learning to tie as well as being a fantastic rope photographer. Both of them have their own physical challenges as non-standard rope bottoms, Little-Boy-Blue often struggled with being the oldest and often only male rope bottom in workshops and events whereas Alexielle’s Autism causes sensory issues as well as being impacted by hypermobility, spinal, blood flow and weight related limitations.
