What does this workshop cover?
This evening is aimed for those who already know their way around the ropes but are looking to perfect their skills. Perhaps you've run into issues with your TK and want to understand how to address these? Perhaps you want to understand how to adapt the pattern and tensions to fit a variety of bodies? Perhaps you want to expand your knowledge regarding the differences between "high hands" and "box tie" positions? Maybe you need extra assistance with the concept of "locking" the body because you are tying a partner with hypermobility?
In this 3 hour intensive class, Fred Hatt will offer a deeper understanding of this tie and help you navigate any issues. Fred will also explain the differences between various styles of TK and how to create a sustainable harness for different bodies. Fred will also make himself available to tie the TK on anyone in the class who wants to, so that details about tensioning, placement and body positioning can be felt.
The class will be limited to 10 couples so that it can offer a more focused learning environment.
Who can come to this class? Are there pre-requisites?
The class is not for complete beginners. This class is aimed at improvers and advanced tiers who want to further their knowledge. Ideally you should be familiar with the TK (or "a" TK).
What should I bring and what do I wear?
We have ropes you can use during the class and we have a communal kitchenette, fridge and microwave. Tea and coffee are free but you should bring your food and snacks (we have plates and cutlery you can use). People usually wear comfortable clothing like yoga or dance attire. We advise against loose fitting clothing and also jeans can sometimes feel a bit restrictive to move around in and difficult to tie on.
