Welcome to our first ever rope treatment and customisation jam!

Mel Kitenga - aka @theaccidentalrigger - invites you to join her for an informal evening of rope treatment fun.

Have some ropes that could do with a little TLC? Avoiding treating them because it feels like hard work? Want to customise but lacking motivation? 

Well this is the evening for you: spend some time socialising while doing what can feel like a boring job alone.

About the evening

This is not a workshop. Mel will be on hand to advise and support, but there will be no formal treatment or customisation teaching.

Treatment materials (rope "lube" etc.) will be provided, but if you are customising your ropes please bring along anything you need.

Please note this gets a bit messy (lots of rope fluff and oils), so please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty.

About Mel

Mel has been treating and handling rope since 2019. In a year on average about 121,000 metres are handled in the process of preparing rope to sell at Anatomie’s Shibari Store. Over this time she has developed a lot of knowledge both professionally and personally in making, maintaining and personalising jute rope. Through her time working and learning in the Shibari Store; Mel has found a love for what she affectionately call "nerdy rope tech stuff" - and is very excited to share her knowledge with fellow rope nerds/participants.
