These include:

- Joining rope
- Basic frictioning
- Basic ties such as: “bunny ears”, the “futomomo” and the “Takate Kote” among others

Who teaches this class?
Anna (she/ her) discovered Shibari over 15 years ago and has worked as an educator, model and co-teacher across Europe since 2016. Being most at home inside the ropes, she has always attached importance to teaching modelling content and to paying attention to what models bring to the table, even and especially in the most technical of classes.
Anna has got a holistic approach and draws from her experience in classical ballet as well as her yoga and mindfulness practice which has lead her to developing exceptional body awareness and problem-solving skills in ropes and suspension and to cultivating a creative mindset. She is an empathetic teacher and strongly believes that the art of Japanese rope bondage can be learned by anyone who is willing to give it room to blossom.

Who can come to this class? Are there pre-requisites?
There are no pre-requisites for this course. This class is open to all levels and complete beginners. No rope needed. No experience needed. Switching is allowed throughout the class (tying and being tied).
What should I bring and what do I wear?
We have ropes you can use during the class and we have a communal kitchenette, fridge and microwave. Tea and coffee are free but you should bring your food and snacks (we have plates and cutlery you can use). People usually wear comfortable clothing like yoga or dance attire. We advise against loose fitting clothing and also jeans can sometimes feel a bit restrictive to move around in and difficult to tie on.
