DUE TO INCREDIBLE DEMAND, WEDNESDAY 26th MARCH EVENT HAS SOLD OUT - WE HAVE SET UP ANOTHER DATE FOR JUSTIN WORSLEY’S KLAUS FLUGGE SALON
The Klaus Flugge salons are a new initiative from Andersen Press to celebrate their founder and chairman Klaus Flugge’s 90th birthday and welcome people to their new offices in Bloomsbury.
Following successful events so far we are announcing the first in the series celebrating a picture book, this time the debut from Justin Worsley, Henry the Artistic Dog. The events are open to anyone from the public who wants to meet others in the publishing industry, enjoy a glass of wine and listen to an author or illustrator talking about their work. They are a celebration of all that is good about the world of children's publishing today and an opportunity to make new friends, learn about new books and discuss ideas without the toxicity of social media.
Limited to 30 tickets, the event costs £8 and ticket price includes a signed book by the featured creator and refreshments.
The third salon on Monday 24th March will feature author and illustrator Justin Worsley talking about his debut picture book Henry the Artistic Dog and how he has moved from a career in toy design to that of creating his own picture books. This is a unique opportunity to hear all about creating picture books from a brilliant new voice to the genre.
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
All are welcome, old friends and new.

About Henry the Artistic Dog by Justin Worsley
‘Has more depth than many of the poo-themed picture books available’ - Bookseller
Henry doesn't think anyone appreciates his unusual art, but one night everything changes...
Henry is an artist, a master sculptor and . . . a dog. Unfortunately, his self-made pieces, in all their sculptural forms, are often tossed in the bin without even being noticed! But Henry never gives up on his art until, one day, an unexpected somebody finally falls in love with his work and at last Henry has his moment to shine.
Justin Worsley has been a toy designer for over 25 years, and has now turned his hand to picture book making. He has a BA Hons in Industrial Design at Northumbria University, and in 2022 he graduated with a distinction from the Cambridge School of Art with an MA in Children's Book Illustration. He has since won the Batsford Prize, the CA award of excellence and the Sebastian Walker Prize. Henry: the Artistic Dog is Justin's first picture book. Justin is originally from Windermere, now living in Lewes.
