Join us and author Hiba Noor Khan as she discusses her process of recreating the past for younger readers, and delving into the dark and perhaps untold stories from history, and hear how her new novel The Line They Drew Through Us was researched and written.
The Klaus Flugge salons are an initiative from Andersen Press to celebrate their founder and chairman Klaus Flugge’s 90th birthday year and welcome people to their new offices in Bloomsbury.
We are thrilled to announce our April salon with multi-award-winner Hiba Noor Khan , as she launches her latest historical novel for children aged 9+, The Line They Drew Through Us.
These events are open to anyone from the public who wants to meet others in the publishing industry, enjoy a glass of wine and listen to an author or illustrator talking about their work. They are a celebration of all that is good about the world of children's publishing today and an opportunity to make new friends, learn about new books and discuss ideas without the toxicity of social media.
Limited to 30 tickets, the event costs £8 and ticket price includes a signed book by the featured creator and refreshments.
The April salon on Wednesday 9 April will feature author Hiba Noor Khan talking about her new novel The Line They Drew Through Us, an unforgettable and inspiring friendship story set against the Partition of India.
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis

About Hiba Noor Khan
Hiba Noor Khan is the author of One Home, Inspiring Inventors Who Are Changing Our Future, The Extraordinary Life of Malala Yousafzai, and the picture book The Little War Cat. Her debut fiction novel, Safiyyah’s War won the Indie Book Award, the Week Junior Book Award, Jhalak Children’s & YA Prize, was Readers’ Choice at the Diverse Book Awards, and was shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal for Writing and the Branford Boase Award. She is also a physics teacher and a Global Diplomacy graduate, and has worked for The Children’s Society as a Refugee Advocate and for the United Nations IOM on international development projects. She has delivered humanitarian aid in Syrian refugee camps and worked on reforestation initiatives in Tanzania.
