For our song event of the festival, we're delighted to welcome the RNCM Songsters - a group of the top singers and pianists studying at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester - to transport you, through the power of song, to new worlds, colourful destinations, emotional voyages, and dramatic adventures. 

The RNCM Songsters work with some of the finest song singers and pianists in the North of England including Jonathan Fisher (previous &Piano performer), Nico de Villiers, David Jones & Lynne Dawson, and have opportunities to work with internationally acclaimed artists including Julius Drake, Stephen Hough, Alice Coote and Roderick Williams.

The group have put together a collection of exquisite songs from around the world that will explore travel and journeys - both physical and emotional - through a wide range of varied songs from Henri Duparc (L'invitation au Voyage) to Vaughan-Williams (Songs of Travel). Explore the musical language of different countries and cultures, discover the beauty of different languages, and hear the next generation of vocal stars in this magical evening.
