Bridging EMDR and Eating Disorders: Practical, Creative, and Effective Interventions with Angela Harris Counseling addresses the best practices for treatment of eating disorders and application of EMDR with eating disorders. Specific approaches will be provided for all major eating disorders, ARFID, and body dysmorphia. This program will include Standard Protocol, Flashforward, EMD, and Feeling State Addiction Protocol, with opportunities for hands-on application through practicum.

Learning Objectives

• Describe and recognize the development and maintenance of an eating disorder or other disordered eating patterns with consideration to how this integrates with the Adaptive Information Processing model of EMDR.
• Describe the use and implementation of Standard Protocol in treatment of eating disorders
• Learn protocol for using EMD and Flashforward in treatment of ARFID.
• Describe the use and implementation of the six modules of target conceptualization from Therapy Scripted Protocols and Summary Sheets: Treating Eating Disorders, Chronic Pain and Maladaptive Self-Care Behaviors 
• Describe how to target maladaptive positive affect associated with eating disorder behavior using Feeling State Addiction Protocol (FSAP)
• Demonstrate the ability to use the integrative model utilizing EMD, Flashforward, Targeting Maladaptive Positive Emotion using FSAP, and Standard Protocol models to develop and implement a case conceptualization and treatment plan with clients.
