Ma Bessie 

Julia aka Ma Bessie performs Jazz and Blues, celebrating the music of Bessie Smith and her contemporaries. With sell-out performances across the Thames Valley and a growing reputation for her intimate audience-focused performances, Julia Titus can help to add some style, class and excitement to any event, club or festival.

Her Blues repertoire includes classics such as ‘Careless Love’, ‘Hound Dog’, ‘Ain't Nobody’s Business’, ‘Do Your Duty’, ‘Summertime’, ‘Sugar in my bowl’ and many more while her reggae repertoire includes her own original material ‘All About You’, ‘Suffer’ alongside classic tracks including ‘Please Don’t Make Me Cry’, ‘Sweet Sensation’, ‘Hear My Cry’ and ‘One Love’.

Ruff House Radio 

Ruff House Radio is an EDM internet radio station featuring top DJ's and MC's. It's platform is dedicated to bringing you the best electronic dance music, live sets, and exclusive mixes. We pride ourselves on offering a unique listening experience, with a focus on showcasing talented artists from the EDM scene. 

Third Lung

Since releasing their debut album ‘Gameplay’ on 04:11:22, which the band launched to a packed out hometown headline show at Sub89 in Reading. Third Lung garnered immediate support from the likes of BBC Music 6 (Steve Lemacq), Record Collector, HiFi+, The Arts Desk, BBC Introducing, Amazing radio (Charlie Ashcroft), Planet Rock, Gigslutz among many others. Most recently the band signed an exciting new record deal with the world renowned and iconic Marquee Records in late2023. Following their multiple Main Stage summer festival performances at Lakefest, FiFest, Weyfest, The Willow Festival, Frogfest and Bunkfest and releasing their reimagined take of an AC/DC classic ‘It’s a long way to the top’.

Jewels and the Jacuzzis

Jewels & the Jacuzzis are a local, dynamic 5-piece band delivering a fresh, upbeat mix of soulful reggae, ska, blues, disco, and tropical vibes. Fronted by singer-guitarist Jewels Vass, they perform a vibrant blend of originals and covers, bringing infectious energy to every show.


Selina and the Howlin Dogs

Selina and the Howlin Dogs are a Reading-based upbeat, funky blues rock with a MODERN feel. This local award-winning band are regularly played out on global blues/rock radio stations, on Radio 6, BBC Introducing as well as countless music festivals and clubs such as Marvellous Festival, Wokingham Festival and The

Harlington, Mr Wolf's and The Ram Jam Club.

Their debut album hit the IBBA top 40 album playlist in 2022 resulting in opening for Geno Washington and the Ram Jam band, Dr Feelgood and Emma Wilson Band. The “Live at The Harlington” release won Live Album of the Year 2022 by Docs Blues Awards on Severn FM which resulted in being aired across 20+ blues radio stations/shows in the UK, Netherlands, Belgium and the US. Gold Dust Radio 

Gold Dust Radio (DJ Set by Deano Jones  Matty B)

Gold Dust was formed in 2005 and grew from a one-off party night which rejuvenated the Soul scene for an over 25s crowd in Reading. These club nights were a huge hit from the start attracting mature clientele from mainly the South of the UK as well as established DJs and live personal appearances from well-known artists on the UK Soul and RnB scene which enhanced the reputation of these nights.

The Gold Dust party generated a unique ‘party’ atmosphere that set it aside from an ordinary club night and was aptly described as a ‘the ultimate soul reunion’ due to it being hosted only 2-3 times per year. 

All the exhibitors, traders and entertainers have a long history of collaboration with Angel Bar and the Caversham community, and we can't wait to bring everyone together!

2. Is re-entry allowed? No, once you enter, you cannot leave and return.

3. Is there an age restriction? Yes, this is an 18+ event. ID may be required and tickets can only be purchased by 18+.

4. How do I get to the event? There is no parking available, so we encourage using public transport, walking, or cycling. Please respect the local community when arriving and leaving.

5. Can I bring my own food or drinks? No, only food and drinks purchased on-site are allowed. A selection of delicious food and cocktails will be available for purchase on-site.

6. Are pets allowed? Only assistance dogs are allowed.

7. Will there be first aid? Yes, first aid staff will be available on-site.

8. What should I wear? Dress to impress! It’s an outdoor event, so be prepared for the weather.

9. What happens if it rains? The event will go ahead rain or shine. Live music will be in a covered marquee. There is some shelter on-site with limited space available.

10. Will there be seating? No dedicated seating, but blankets and portable chairs are welcome.

11. Is smoking or vaping allowed? Not inside any tent or covered area. However, as this is a public garden that will be used for this private event, we do encourage those smoking to dispose of any waste safely to keep the gardens beautiful.

13. What happens if the event is cancelled? You will be refunded, excluding any booking fees.

14. Can I buy tickets at the door? Tickets must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be sold at the door.
