Ride the Rails and Yak the River

Step away from the festival grounds and into Mountain Maryland for a thoughtfully curated DelFest day experience combining scenic railbiking and a relaxing river float by kayak.

This hosted adventure begins with morning transportation to Frostburg for a guided railbike ride through Western Maryland’s mountain landscape. Afterward, we return to Cumberland for time to regroup, grab lunch, and prepare for an afternoon float on the North Branch of the Potomac.

Transportation, timing, and logistics are fully handled throughout the day, allowing you to simply enjoy the experience. From rail to river, this is a seamless way to explore the region while still making it back in time for the music.

Logistics & Details

• We will meet outside the gates at the Allegany County Fairgrounds at 8 am.
• Duration: 5–6 hours
• Group Size: Limited to 12 participants
• Difficulty: Easy–Moderate
• Start & End Location: Allegany Fairgrounds / DelFest area

Important Info

• Participants should be comfortable with light physical activity and being on the water
• This experience is weather-dependent
• A waiver is required for participation
• Lunch will be provided.

Following the river float, we’ll return to Traks & Yaks in Frostburg. Guests are encouraged to relax, grab a local beer at the Tunnel Hotel, and take advantage of the nearby shower facilities before heading back to the festival grounds.

Cancellation Policy
Full refunds are available up to 7 days prior to the experience. Cancellations made within 7 days of the event will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the experience are non-refundable.

Tickets may be transferred to another guest if you are unable to attend.
