Speak Up Jax Youth Slam is a youth poetry slam celebrating the voices, stories, and creativity of young poets ages 13–18. Presented by Hope at Hand Inc. in partnership with Aniah Heaven Poetry and the Jacksonville Public Library, this uplifting community event invites youth to take the stage, share their original work, and experience the power of creative expression in a supportive, empowering environment.

As part of Hope at Hand’s Jax Poetry Fest 2026 and National Poetry Month, Speak Up Jax centers youth voices, artistic confidence, and community connection, reminding young writers that their stories matter and their voices deserve to be heard. Join us at the Jacksonville Public Library on April 25th, 2026 for an unforgettable experience.

Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, accommodations for persons with disabilities are available upon request. Please allow 1–2 business days to process. Last-minute requests will be accepted, but may not be possible to fulfill. Please ask for Learning Services at 255-2665 or email JPLprograms@coj.net.
