Mary Joyce was a lady, and music was in her soul. She passed away in 2017, but her legacy is the gift of music she gave to so many people, not just in the parish of Portumna, but also in Athenry where she was born. She made so many friends through her love of music, in over 30 years of the church choir and piano teaching. The skills learned by those who went to her for piano lessons reach far and wide across the world. This event is one final gift of music from Mary to the people of Portumna.

Liam Ó Maonlaí

A founding member and frontman of the internationally successful Hot House Flowers, Liam also performs widely as a solo artist, and in collaboration with other musicians around the world. His music is rooted in Irish tradition with deep connections to gospel, blues and rock.

Clare Sands
Born and raised in Cork but with deep family roots in Co. Wexford and the North of Ireland, Clare Sands is a unique force in Irish music. A sixth generation fiddler and bilingual singer, she weaves Traditional roots with Contemporary sounds and influences, embodying a fearless warrior-like spirit.
