Animal Cwtch

Animal Cwtch is where animals, people, and pure connection meet

Events list

Animal Cwtch is a Welsh animal encounters and education company operating across South and West Wales. We bring a range of ambassador animals — including owls, snakes, lizards, tarantulas, and small mammals — to schools, care homes, community events, wellbeing sessions, and public ticketed encounters.

Everything we do is welfare-led. Our animals are individuals with personalities and preferences, not props, and every session is designed to be calm, hands-on, and genuinely meaningful — not a performance.

We're proudly inclusive. Our sessions are fully adaptable for neurodivergent individuals, those with additional learning needs, sensory sensitivities, and anxiety. Accessibility and emotional safety run through everything we do.

Conservation is at the heart of what we do too. As David Attenborough said: "No one will protect what they don't care about; and no one will care about what they have never experienced." That belief shapes everything — when people genuinely connect with animals, they start to care about the wider world those animals come from. Education, conservation awareness, and a respect for wildlife run through every session we deliver.

We hold Animal Activities Licence 090230, issued by Swansea Council, and are members of the Association of British and Irish Wild Animal Keepers (ABWAK), the British Herpetological Society, REPTA, and Responsible Reptile Keeping.
