DIY for Gardeners

Want to make your garden more beautiful, practical and “you” — without waiting for someone else to do it?

My new DIY for Gardeners workshop is for people who love their outdoor space but wish they felt more confident using drills, fixings and simple tools to actually create things themselves.

We’ll cover genuinely useful, real-life skills you can immediately use at home. In the class you will be:
🌿 putting up a trellis into a brick wall, using spacers, washers, weatherproof screws, and the correct plugs
🪴 drilling drainage holes into pots and containers without cracking them (whether they are metal, terracotta or plastic)
🪚 fixing hanging baskets to brick walls safely
🔩 fixing a bird box onto a tree or wooden post
🌸 mounting hose reels (this is covered in theory only)

While this class is an ideal follow up to students who have come to my Basic Drill Skills class to consolidate their drill skills, the class is also suitable for beginners. Ideally you will bring your own combi drill to the class. I do have a couple of spare ones, if you don't have your own drill.
No “silly questions”.
Just practical, hands-on skills in a relaxed small-group environment.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Due to the small group nature of the workshops and the preparation involved, cancellations made more than 14 days before the workshop date are eligible for a 50% refund. Unfortunately, cancellations made within 14 days of the workshop are non-refundable, as cancelled places are often difficult to refill at short notice. Ticket holders are welcome to transfer their ticket to another person if they are unable to attend. Please notify us in advance with the new attendee’s details.
