People's Emergency Briefing Film Screening

Fri 9 Oct 2026 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM Telegraph Hill Centre, SE14 5TY

In November 2025, the National Emergency Briefing brought together leading experts to present the latest evidence on the climate and nature crisis to politicians and other influential people in Westminster. That evidence is now on the public record. The aim of the film is to bring together people in local communities across the UK to hear the evidence and discuss how to respond - together with their MP.

The film shows Chris Packham sitting with celebrities and members of the public as they watch the documentation of the original briefing — like Gogglebox for the climate emergency.

We will have a discussion after the film with local Green councillors, Kate Anderson and Becky Sanders, and climate campaigner and psychotherapist, Anouchka Grose — with more guests to come. Watch this space!

The film is recommended for over sixteens only as some of the content is upsetting.

Kindly supported by Deptford Cinema and co-hosted by Jana Haldrich-Jenkins. Deptford Cinema will provide a non-alcoholic bar.

There will be a chance to discuss how to respond to the emergency, and how to join the campaign for a public broadcast around the threats we currently face due to the climate and nature crises.
